A leaf and herringbone plait covers the body of this jumper, worked in a midweight yarn so the pattern stays clear without becoming bulky. The stitch is closed and firm, which gives the knit body and stops it dropping out of shape. The crew neckline is set in a narrow rib that sits at the base of the throat. Sleeves run long and straight to ribbed cuffs, and the hem is finished in matching rib with a slight curve at the sides that softens the otherwise square cut.
