This longline cardigan is knitted in an airy waffle rib with fine horizontal stripes of mustard, rust, olive and beige repeating across a black ground on the body, sleeves and back. Left open at the front with no buttons or fastening, it is designed to hang loose over whatever sits underneath, whether that is a jumper or a simple top. The dropped shoulder eases into a long sleeve that finishes at a ribbed cuff, and the cardigan runs long, falling to around mid thigh for good coverage through the body. The waffle rib gives the fabric a slightly open, textured feel that is soft rather than dense, so it drapes rather than holds a stiff shape. An easy layer for cooler days, it works well thrown over trousers or a longer top.
