A jumper knitted in a thick plain stitch, with black diagonal stripes cutting across the chest and repeating on the back so the pattern runs right around the body. The round neckline is finished with a ribbed band that sits close to the neck, and the shoulders are set just past the natural line. The sleeves are gathered at the head to give a soft puff through the upper arm, then narrow gradually to deep ribbed cuffs at the wrist. A ribbed band closes the hem and sits straight across the hip, holding the weight of the heavier stitch without pulling the body out of line.
